Vr4 and non vr4 fender molding

I had these fender moldings sitting my closet.. I assumed they were VR4 bolding. At a glance they appear to be so but I was looking at pics an noticed mine are different. Here's mine you can see the bottom is different, if I had the vr4 side skirts on there would be a 2 inch gap between the skirt and the fender molding. My question is what is this molding from???

Galant GSR or Galant GSX.

Weird, so the gsx came with the same door cladding a as a vr4? Because that part lines up just fine as you can see in the pic.

I was under the impression that my door cladding and the fender moldings were off a vr4 and I just needed the rear doglegs and skirts to complete the look.

There was a 91 Galant GS is the junk yard once, it have the same fender molding as you posted.

90 & 91 Galant GS & GSX had that style of fender moulding.

In 92, the GS & GSR had a different style moulding with 3 small ribs in it.
If you want pictures of the other style ribbing I can take a few as I have a spare set sitting around.
