tensioner tool

i got a timing belt tool kit form jay racing and it came with a tbelt tensior compresser bolt but it wont thread in. am i crazy or is it just to big and i need a smaller one any one have a similar situations?

I had a similar problem with mine but put some grease and turned it with a wrench slowly. After the a few turns it was smother and worked fine. I belive the threads in the engine were dirt or rusty since I had never used a tool like this one before.
