Spoungy Brakes...

Ever since the snow slides my cars breaks have seemed rather spoungy. Not a whole lot of pressure at the pedal, and when I'm cruisng at 30mph or faster then tap the brakes the car jerks to the left a bit then comes back. I still have stock spec brake components and I have not done anything to the brakes since I owned the car, last September. I have added brake fluid here and there but that didn't really seem to do anything.

Thanks guys

start by checking you don't have a caliper slider hanging up. OK, start by making sure you're not loosing fluid anywhere. & check the master cyl for leak residue at the booster. also take a look at your flex lines, one may be ballooning.

One way to check for a possible leak at the caliper is if there is fluid on the inside of the rim. It's hard diagnosing brakes w/o actually looking at all the lines and connections. So start there first. Make sure there's no leaks or ballooning. If you're having to add fluid here and there I'm sure there's a small leak somewhere. Fluid just doesn't disappear. The calipers *should* be able to slide back and forth a little. You might have to take them off and clean up the sliders a little bit.
