1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 – 56/1000 - Belize Green, 193,000 miles on Body
Car runs perfect and drives great. It’s my daily driver currently – don’t be afraid of the miles.
In short, this car has had most of it gone through and has been fixed properly.
I'm buying a new (used) car, so the Galant and my Spyder are getting sold.
Engine:
2.3l Stroker with Wiseco 8.8:1 pistons, 1G Big Rods (25k miles)
Stock head/cams. Head was checked out by Pakes in Janesville
Balance shafts removed
ARP Head Studs
90 Oil Filter Housing & external cooler
New OEM Timing belt, pulleys, water pump, gaskets, etc (15k miles)
Cyclone Intake Manifold w/Keydiver mod for activation (not hooked up)
Coil on plug setup
Some sort of 2.5” Exhaust
2G Exhaust manifold, ported
2G Ported O2 Housing
Evo III-16g turbo (10k miles)
Custom oil drain line
Stainless oil feed line off head
ETS 2.5” Full FMIC kit, 1G BOV
2G MAS setup w/adaptor for high-flow filter
Fuel:
Stock ECU with Keydiver chip, socketed, caps replaced
SAFC 2 (not really being used currently – all zero’ed out since Keydiver chip)
EVO8 560cc injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump – bulkhead & AN fitting modified sending unit
Fuel pump rewired
Fuel and return line replaced front to back
Aftermarket fuel filter
Aftermarket fuel pressure regulator
Drivetrain:
Centerforce Dual Friction clutch (10k miles)
Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel (10k miles)
Forced Performance flywheel bolt & PP stud kit
Rebuilt Tranny, Some HD parts, but has issue – 5th gear needs double clutch or grinds
Short shifter w/ leather 1G shift boot
Symborski shifter plate bushings
Hal Landry Shift cable bushing mount
Skate bearing mod on cable ends.
Stainless clutch line
Rebuilt driveshaft (new u-joints & carrier bearings)
Aluminum Driveshaft support bushings
3-bolt LSD rear end w/new seals (all 3)
Rear wheel bearings /seals replaced with new OEM
Suspension / wheels:
KYB GR-2 Struts
H&R Springs (1.2” Drop)
Stock 15” wheels with General Altimax Arctic snow tires 195/60-15 (stock size, ~5k miles)
Rota Slipstream Gunmetal 16x7 rims, polished lip with
Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R 225/50-16 tires (~5k miles)
Electrical / Stereo:
Battery relocated to trunk with 0 gauge welding cable
Headlight rewire with 80w low beam, 100w high beam bulbs
Marshall Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure, coolant temp gauges under radio
Boost & O2 A/F gauges on pillar
Alpine 4x50w CD/MP3 stereo head unit with IPOD hookup (wired to glove compartment)
Front 5.25” component speakers w/dome tweeters in dash spot
Rear 6.5” Infinity 3-way
All new 14-gauge speaker wires run
Fused 8-gauge power run to battery for stereo / gauges
Brakes:
Hawk HPS Brake pads (front)
SS brake lines VR4 specific (Tuners Nation)
Drilled rotors – unknown brand
Both E-Brake Cables replaced
Rear brake lines replaced front to back
Right rear caliper replaced
Other / Misc:
Car was repainted at some point, so no clear coat peeling
Front bumper cover painted & new hood installed / painted – last year
Dash plaque in place / replica key fob included
New alternator (Installed 3/5/12)
New starter / new starter cable about 6 months old
New Fan resistor installed 3/5/12
A/C Does work – and works well
ABS Disabled – ABS Delete kit available for purchase
Rear Steering lines removed
Needs:
New Steering rack installed (have new rebuilt one in box) or crossover tube replaced
Power steering pump currently removed (will include)
Drivers side lower control arm (will include)
Small oil leak – I think it’s the rear main seal – hasn’t bothered me much
Windshield cracked, needs replacement – I have new OEM side mouldings
Fuel Gauge not accurate, but low fuel light works
Cruise Control not working – needs relay replaced on CC circuit board.
I'm sure I'm missing some things, but this is all off the top of my head
Looking to get $4750 as described.
Other prices / options considered as well (removing / adding parts, etc). If interested, let's talk.
