Thrown rod =FUBAR
Spun rod bearing repairable.
7bolt is not a direct replacement.

Is it pulled apart? Pictures would go a long way.

7 bolt? if i were you, i'll pass. If he's a real friend, you should be getting it for free. imo.

I personally wouldn't pay anything for a stock 7 bolt. Definitely not worth the $300 he claims. The 7 bolts just aren't desirable motors and most people would probably just give them away to clear the space.

Sounds like you need to make new friends that aren't retarded. I bought a 6 bolt block w/ 2g pistons on 1g rods with everything else besides a head for $200.

No one is going to spend $300 on a damaged block. Tell your friend to stop smoking weed and get a realistic grip on 4g63s.

if it was a 98 or 99 7bolt, maybe. If it's 92-97 it's garbage anyway, especially if it tossed a rod. If it doesn't have a crank it's extra worthless.

i bought a $50 7 bolt block with a 1g head locally just to play around with. much better than paying $200-300 for one at the junkyard.
