So I decided that I would try to tackle this lil project since I really liked the way it looks and its a good alternative for a $400 JDM bumper.

Thanks to the member/moderator on here named Curtis.

It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I Just took my time. I didn't cut it as short as Curtis did. I took about 2.5 inches off of it and was really satisified with the outcome. I still need to bolt it up which I will do tomorrow.

Now onto some pics.

Here is the link I got the idea from except I'm not using a bumper support like him.

Yeah, the exhaust will have to be shortened.

Tomorrow I'm gonna tackle the front bumper. It seems that its gonna be easier to do then the back.

The bulb assembly doesn't like to fit for the side markers but some leds solves that problem.

Do a full write up on the front maybe in 5 or 6 years someone will do there's. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

I did mine and Paul's and there is a rally racer that did his but as far as I know thats the only 4 with shortened rears.

Always wondered what the front would look like please post up progress pictures as the project goes along.

I've never seen the front done, but I'm positive its gonna look real good.

So the the bumper support had to modded correct? Not as easy as cutting the skin and snugging it up?

Well the way you cut the rear it may work with the factory bumper and no foam. You would just have to play with measurements until it fits by cutting a small amount at a time.
