Posting in newb forum since I haven't really messed with the GVR4 in 10 years.

Had rear brakes off to do a remanufactured caliper swap. Well, that was a long time ago and I'm pretty sure I got everything right except I can't figure out where to put 1 clip on each side. I'm guessing that it is a retainer for the park brake cable?? Total guess.

I have the 1999 DSM Manual .pdf but didn't see it shown in the brake section. Wow, if that was an actual book on a shelf it would be super dusty!

I will post a pic of the clip as soon as I can upload an image. (EDIT: Ok, weird, the upload works but I had to copy and paste the hyperlink into this post, it didn't want to add it automatically)

Gotcha, prevents the end from coming off. Now to see if I can figure out how to orient it!

Thanks,

Found it in the manual (#7) but I don't remember seeing it on my car whenever I've serviced the brakes. Would be interested to see a pic of it installed.

I just did some rear brake work and it's a little tricky to get in there. If you took the cable out just make sure the cable put back on right there's a notch where the kinda bar end sits on that. I accidentally just let the bar rest in the bracket the wrong way.

The clip just slides over the bracket and clips to the other side.
