noise in the tack cluster

so my galants tack cluster started making this squeaking noise... the higher the MPH goes up the louder it gets... i opened it up and lube the speed cable with some WD40 but that didnt do anything... any ideas on how i can get rid of the noise??? its getting really annoying...
