I have been using an MSD DIS-2 for the last 6-7 years..the box finally took a sh*t the other day. I am currently running DSM Link and a COP setup. I do not need all the bells and whistles most digital ignition boxes come with, i.e. rev limit, nitrous control, etc. because i have the DSM link. Any suggestions on a simple ignition amplifier thats not another $600 DIS-2?? Thanks!

You don't have to change or modify anything to make it work. Completely bolt on. They advertise it as a 2g because it comes with a bracket that fits 2g's. If you're a bit creative you can figure out a spot to install it and you're good to go.
My friend installed it on his 1g few days ago and did a review and took a few pics and made this thread here

whats the rest of your setup like? An ignition box isn't really needed unless your running 30+ psi. stock ignitions work great. junk the coil on plug and put on a set of ngk wires and factory coil pack.

You don't have to run 30+psi to take advantage of an ignition setup. The kid I posted above runs 23-25psi. But its not even about boost, the car idles and drive smoother at part throttle where there's no boost.
