Everything worked fine before the engine rebuild.

Now, the 15 amp fuse in the kick panel location blows with in a few seconds of pressing the brake pedal.

I can't find anything that is shorted out, though I haven't torn the whole car apart yet.....

Battery is fully charged.

Check the brake light bulbs aren't shorting internally. (for a 91 it's 6 bulbs for a 92 there's 4) I had an issue with my old sunny where for some odd reason a brake filament had wrapped itself round the tail filament and it popped the fuse every time you touched the brake pedal. Had me tearing my hair out until I found it.

Easy check to isolate would be disconnect the rearmost wiring harness (In the rear cheek panel at the side of the trunk behind the wheel) and the decklid harness. Will just disconnect all the lights at the rear of the car. Does the problem still manifest itself?

If it does, the other thing it could be is a short in the brakelight switch via its case to the pedal bracket.

Hope this helps,

Richard
