Minor Radiator Rust Cleaning

I see some minor rust building inside of the radiator, i can also see some rust covering when i remove both of the radiator pipes from the engine. I guess the coolant is done for. What home products can i use to clean inside of the radiator and water galleys/pipes in the engine? I heard mixing caustic soda with water and running it for some time will clean it up good, is it true? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Some of the images are not viewing 100% /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. That is a very helpful article but i was looking more towards some old school trick to clean up system.
