Loom differences?

Hi, have just bought a Evo 0 ecu to replace my old link so are planning to swap loom with a uncut one though have heard that there is difference's between the facelift & PFL? Though would like to confirm this as all I've been offered is one out of a 89' (at a very cheap price)
Probably need to add that i'm talking JDM.

Yes the loom is different - there is a difference with how the idle stepper motor is configured for PFL and FL VR-4s. This change corresponds in the US with '90 models being the same as PFL and '91+ being the same as FL.

I would just find a loom from a 90+ FL VR-4.
