Legnum VR4 japanese writing

I am need of some guidance relating to the GPS/CD/temperature controls in my legnum vr4. It's all in Japanese! I have not yet been able to find any information on this anywhere. I would like to change the unit for a normal temperature control system and would like to change the screen for anything else really. Does anyone have any type of helpful information?
