The car runs and idles well, but every time I drive it for 10-15 miles, the darn check engine light comes on, code 11, oxygen sensor.

The sensor is new, but I switched out my first new one for a second, thinking there was an issue with the Denso unit.

I wired the O2 leads to the 2G sensor, but I'm assuming if I totally f'ed up the wiring, I'd get the CEL much sooner than I am? The two heater wires on the sensor side are both black with 18 ohm of resistance between the two, and those are going to the two non shielding wires on the harness side. According to a DSM website, they are not polar.

For the signal wires, maybe I messed up the signal and ground? I wired the signal to blue and ground to white because they happened to be the same colors as on the DSM writeup, although I know there really isn't a standard. If these two wires were reversed, would it show up sooner than 10 miles?

I think my only other option for this is to recrimp some wires on the harness side. The wires near the exhaust were basically breaking if you looked at them crossly.

If anyone has ideas or sees errors in my thinking, please let me know.

TIA
