Jeff is referring to what is technically the Mitsubishi "triple diamond" logo, which he is correct about not being used in Japan (therefore true JDM valve coves would not have them).

There is a DSM logo, but never used on the cars outside of the certification label.

What other markets and models had the diamonds beside the US GVR4's? Check THIS FS THREAD showing what appears to be a diamond trio on MDM valve cover. I guess it is possible the PO bought one from us.
