This is a pretty neat piece, but since the VSS is in the cluster it will throw off my dsmlink numbers. Wish it would have worked for me!

Why would it throw off your numbers? It's just adjusting the VSS to see MPH rather than KPH?

No, it is making the speedo read in "mph", not the vss. The ecu would see a slower than actual speed from the vss. It would throw off 70-90 times in link and skew my Linktools estimates.
I've looked into these before and they are pretty cool though, especially if you need it to pass inspections.
