Editing

Why can't I edit a post of mine 5 seconds after without it saying in italics that it was edited? I think there needs to be a 5 min window to edit without that sh*t. I find myself deleting a post and reposting it just to avoid it. I feel like having that in italics makes it look like I went to renege or massive edit when I really just wanted to change a letter and fix something.
