alternator question

i have a single gray or green wire in alt harness cant really tell what color but it looks like it might go on the ground stud on alt but im not sure.

Can't tell by the pics however I suspect it's the power steering pump idle control wire.

Should be a male stub pointing at the radiator almost parallel from your camera position.
