Just got 680/2000 a few days ago through a trade. Looking forward to working on it and making it the way I want it. Planning on turning it into a race car. Already gutted the trunk and back seat. Got the head unit out as well. Next is the rest of the stereo, seats, seat belts, and air conditioning.

To an extent, yes. I'm not really destroying much by taking parts out. Probably going to sell what I take out on here for someone restoring their VR4. Trunk carpeting wasn't in great shape. They cut some holes for gauges and had a gauge pod duct taped to the A pillar. Whoever did the wiring in the engine bay obviously had no clue what they were doing.

For the most part I'm keeping a lot of it original. I plan on putting in a 3 core aluminum radiator, removing anything unnecessary from the engine bay, new engine management system, removing anything unnecessary from the interior, strut bars, racing seat and a four point harness. Not planning on cutting anything up or doing any permanent modifications.
