1989 Galant VR4 RHD Fuel Gauge Temperature Gauge Malfunction

Hello all,
Today’s problem is the fuel gauge and temp gauge malfunction and immediately goes to full and high temperature in cold weather. It will periodically work correctly but they both mostly fail at the same time. Before I start to tear the dash apart, does anyone have any similar symptoms or fixes in the past?

Did you try to disconnect the temperature sensor and the fuel pump plug?

If after doing this step the problem persists, it is possible that the wiring is damaged.
