Is my fuel pump bad?

my car just died and wont restart. turns over strong. How do I test my fuel pump

with a fuel pressure gauge. First pop a vac line off the mani, use the pcv line, and spray some brake clean in while a buddy turns the car over. if it fires you have a fuel delivery issue. assuming it fires off the brake clean then pull the carpet in the trunk & check for voltage at the pump. if you have voltage it's likely the pump, if not it's electrical. post up what you find. if it's electrical I'll post up the diagrams so you can trace it down

well I took the fuel line off the fuel rail and tryed to start the car and it pumped fuel into the pan I had under the line so I think the fuel pump is working. turbwop told me how to jump a wire by the brake master cyl. to see if the pump comes on but i did not hear anything when I did that, could this be a cam position sens?

not yet, when i towed it the car did pull start but only ran for a sec and when i stoped the car died again.
