My cousin miraculously pulled out the key hole from the actual door itself. The lock/unlock mechanism is perfectly fine and intact, but it's not attached to the door. I would like to know the proper way sticking the keyhole back in without having it come out. Should I use some kind of adhesive perhaps? Thanks in advance.

What's that piece called? I'm assuming I will need to pull off the door panel then?

Yes, you have to pull the door card. It is called the door lock cylinder clip.

The clip is the same for both doors so you can find one in a bone yard and they should be pretty much universal for any mitsu.

In the process of replacing this. I'm having problems removing the door panel without breaking anything. It's almost of but something along the silver strip/trim by the window is keep it secure. I felt like ripping it out but I'm gonna need to reuse it. What am I doing wrong?

Put the door panel a bit more vertical (parallel to the door) and pull up.

It helps to push the top of the panel outwards, towards the glass. Sometimes you have to jar it up from the bottom pretty hard.

A socket extension or large screw driver going through the handle hole and tapping with a hammer helps me. Just be careful.
