just thought i would ask... can i use a '91 galant gsx throttle body on my vr4, well i should probly ask, is it bigger? would it work and would you do it? i have a gsx parts car so i already have everything, just something i've been thinking about, i know it won't really make a difference till i really need to start moving air, but hey it helps right?

You can use a GSX throttle body. It is the same size and won't make a difference in power, however it's not bolt on. The non turbo throttle bodies have a 3" Hose connection on the intlet verses the turbo bolt on elbow. You will need custom made intercooler piping to make it work.

What's wrong with the one that's on it?
Or were you just hoping it was bigger? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

i just know that when you start to move alot of air, (like say 4-500awhp) that little elbow is restricting your flow slightly. lol... no i wasn't hoping it was bigger, i know that bigger isn't always better. at least not in this case /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I put a 2g elbo on, then a custom elbo piece. The 2g's way bigger than ours.
The throttle body's not the big restriction, it's definitely the elbo. You can achieve the 400hp range with the stock throttle body.
eBay sells both, 2g and aftermarket. Run a WTB on the forum. I'm sure someone has one laying around.
