Looking to extend my 2G snorkel by removing a bunch of the intake accordian. Question now before tearing apart the only piece I have, is to what inner diameter the snorkel is where you can clamp the snorkel top and bottom on the larger indentation areas? I've seen this done before but not that often. I don't have much time left to drive my car before salt hits the roads, and this will get me up and running for the first time in 2.5 years or so. Oh, for those that don't know me here or at the Colt site, this is for fitment of my 2G MAS, 2G snorkel and (custom welded Starion core) MS Recycling intercooler piping that I have just installed. I ran the snorkel with little issue on the 14b before, but now I have short route piping interfering. Here is what some of the piping looks like before it went in:

Yes, it is custom built. Jonathan Reimer at M&S Recycling out of California, Rancho Cordova? IIRC. He built it for the car pictured which has since changed hands and also piping setups. My car is identical except for the silver paint and hasnèt been converted to AWD.

So, I guess nobody has an answer to my question so I'll just have to cut it and grab some exhaust tubing at the store with cut pieces in hand.

Thank you Struc, much obliged. I think it is time for a trip to the part store before it closes tonight. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
