The question is, what triggers the 3 lights in the stock boost gauge when you turn the key to on?
All I get is a solid CEL when I turn the key to on. Unless I first disconnect and reconnect the positive battery lead, then the CEL goes off after 5 seconds or so and I get the boost lights. That only lasts for one start, after starting it goes back to a Solid CEL and no lights. Am I looking at a relay? bad ground? fuse? I've tried everything I can think of. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Check Mpi relay is functional. See if you can connect to the diagnostic port.

Try another ecu? Have the caps been leaking in yours?

I just had the caps all replaced when I had link installed. she was clean then she is cleaner now. but that's not the issue. Im not getting power somewhere. almost as if something isn't resetting after I shut the car off

Start with ignition harnesses then check grounds. If the components work that leaves wires. I got nothing else.

Better yet check from the ecu harness for power and ground and work backwards. That may prove easier.

did you check what fault code is being stored by the ECU which is triggering the CEL to come on in the first place?

Do you have a turbo timer?

No on the timer. At this point it is resolved. I deleted the fuse box that hooks directly to the battery and got nothing. unplugged the ecu and plugged it back in. so far it has been working for 2 days without interruption. not entirely sure what did it tho.
thanks for the imput guys.
