I know some 1G DSM guys use 2G belts. You will probably still need the Galant canister, but might be able to make that work.

is this what we do if the auto belts stop working. I remember when i first sat in a VR4, that was my first pondering/dread...when the belts stop moving.

Got a spare complete set of 2g belts I'm going to try. Hate the auto belts /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Any word back on this? I'm looking for a set of 2G buckle receivers because I didn't get the Galant ones, and the stock and Evo ones don't work. I know the 2G's plug in, just wasn't sure if you got the belts to work.
