where to start?????????? lol

ok, nice to join this site. i just picked up 1424 of 2000 this week. it is apart under the hood. it came with fully build engine with hks 272 cams, cam gears, wiesco/eagle combo, dsmlink, wideband, and other stuff. also got a 90 gsx too. got tons of stuff, but am missing the entire intercooler setup, turbo, injectors and some interior pieces.

i plan to install a hx35 with the bep housing. the car came with an aluminum rad and spal fan. i am hoping to have enough room.
the front rad support area has been hacked at one point, as the p.o said it had a huge front mount, but was stolen off the car.

anyone able to recomend a f.m.i.c for the car, able to handle the hx 35?
am i able to use a 1g eclipse turbo maf and filter assembly?

Nice to see you joined, I'm the one you pm'd on tuners gsxecutioner.

thanks!. i am thinking of buying one of those ebay front mount universal kits, and try to do the piping like a 1g eclipse.? i am not worried about doing the short route.

Just about any core you get off eBay can handle an HX35. With that said you were concerned about room for the turbo, I would get a 2 or 3 row civic radiator and at least a 1600 cfm puller fan. that will give you the room and keep your running temps lower. I did that n one of my Galants a while back, great investment.

I however would not chose an HX35 turbo, to me there are better, more efficient, and cost effective turbos than the HX35. What kind of "realistic" power are you looking to get?

I would not recommend keeping the stock 1G MAF with that setup. The very least get a 2G MAF, or a GM MAF. I would run a translator Pro with the spreed density sensor, that with ECM Link and you can get a good tune and run solid reliable.

Welcome, the search feature will be your best friend. Read as much as you can.

To aid in your searching and your results use a + in front of the words you use to search. Like this:

+oil +filter

or, +intercooler

Good luck.

PS, you'll get more help if you refrain from using eight question marks and pointless stuff like lol. One question mark works just fine.

alright Mr. Forgetful ^ lol

i was choosing the holset, as i have had a few dodge trucks, and always had good luck with the turbo's. i also plan to run the bep housing. the way i see it, i can get a holset with the bep for about 700.00, and want to run about 23 lbs of boost. nothing more. i just want this car to be a real sleeper, with the exterior looking pure stock
