is there any other tps sensor that will work for the gvr4 one

cause i just called kragen and its $194.00
i don't have that much money so just wondering which cars i should look at in the Junkyard

i'm not sure if that's my problem but its giving me a check engine light i know that much.
every time the car gets driven for more then 5 minutes IT cannot idle .

when you take it out of gear it stalls instead of catching at about 1100 RPM's or so
same thing while shifting.

BUT ONLY WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN WARMED UP
when the car is cold it will raise idle and then drop down and REPEAT

Does it idle steady when warmed up, or is it still surging?

Is it hard to start?

Have you done a boost leak test?

Have you read the CEL code and it says TPS?

Do you have a datalogger?

BEFORE you go throwing parts at it, get a better diagnosis.

Test your TPS: click

Test your ISC: click

Check for continuity in the sensor signal circuit.

There are lots of things that can lead to this issue.

FYI the Galant TPS is the same as a 1g DSM.

idles steady after warmed up (not on its own though)
i have to catch it at about 1000 rpms with a flick on the gas and it will raise back up and then idle smoothly at 1000 or whatever i set it to

RESTARTS EVERY TIME

have not done boost leak test

i had someone read the code and show me and it said tps

i do not have a datalogger

and will be buying a multimeter this weekend to test

Sounds like a isc or fiav problem to me. Also ecu could be suspect too, but sometimes the isc is what caused the ecu to fail in the first place.

As long as the ecu sees around .5v at closed throttle the car should idle. At least as far as the rod goes.

Isc is just replacing plug right?
And the fiav I stil can't really understand

But the machine said the tps was bad should I start there?

What was the code specifically. Code 14 is actually ISS (Idle stop switch) even though it shows tps fault.

Example:

ISS shows a closed throttle, but TPS voltage is in excess of 2v for longer than 2 seconds will throw a code 14.
