Dumb question about source for MBC

OK, looking at the intake manifold in my picture, there are three nipples on it normally. One on the left connects to the PCV valve, then there is one in the middle, then one on the right which connects to the fuel pressure regulator.

In the past I have always used that middle port for my MBC source. But this extrude honed intake manifold has had the middle port welded shut? Not really sure why, but where should I tap for a pressure source for the MBC?

Should I just tee into the FPR line along with the boost gauge?

Why not off of the j pipe? Are you running an aftermarket piping setup?

Yeah I'm running a punishment racing FMIC. I thought using the intake manifold was more accurate? I'd rather not remove the j-pipe if I can help it, the t-bar clamp on that was a bitch to get tightened. Plus I'd have to buy the tap and stuff....

You can use the manifold if you want to, but the closer the the compressor, the more accurate/responsive/consistent it will be.
