quick question: oil pump leaks

After swapping in the other tcase Monday, I noticed there might be a leak on my oil pump. The larger, set-screw looking deal with the hex key end on it. It's the biggest bolt-like thing on the pump and I suspect it's on the high pressure side.

Service manual has nothing on it. All oil pressure topics are power steering related.

If this is leaking...

- Is it as simple as removing it, applying teflon paste or loctite and threading it back in tight?
- Will removing this result in all the oil draining out on me (in which case, prepare for oil change)?
- I know this is risky business, but can it be tightened and trusted for another couple weeks (until oil change time)?

Thanks.

I think he's talking about the plugs on the OFH, not the actual oil pump.

They're above the oil level in the pan so they won't leak but a little bit when you pull it out. If that's what is really leaking, just reseal it and screw it back in nice and snug.

By the way, that "special" tool discussed on the link can easily be purchased by any Matco dealer. Have him consult his SPX catalog. IIRC it cost me less than $35 bones.
