This has probably been covered multiple times but I'm currently in the process of tightening down those two buggers and a punch isn't doing it. But I'd like to know from others, what tool are you guys using to swage the intermediate gear and input shaft?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have always used a hammer and blunt nose punch for the bending in of the nut.

It shouldn't be too hard to indent the tab area.
