spark issues on 92 gvr4

I have a 92 2.0 vr4 with a junkyard engine i swapped into it. It has run great for 600 miles. One morning it started rough and idled terribly but still drove to work without dying, after work it killed multiple times on the way home untill suddenly it lost all power and died.
Now... it does crank, and pops once. nothing after that.
I tested spark and i have intermittent spark on cylinders 1 and 4 but 2 and 3 are dead. I ohmed out the ignitor and it was bad, so i replace it. same issue remains. I have pulled the ecu and checked the caps, all have been replaced already by the previous owner. I since then plugged in a spare set of coil packs and had the same exact problem, int. spark on 1 and 4 but nothing on 2 and 3. I have also swapped the cam/crank sensor on the head with the one off of my old motor, (no guarantee this is a good one either, but i dont know how to test it)

Has anyone had this issue to help me speed this up? im going to retest my coilpacks, new ignitor, wires to the crank sensor etc this weekend.
thanks for any info.

Watched my friend with 1g dsm go through the same exact thing and it was his ecu in the end. Try swapping ecu with a known working one. Aside from that check all the wiring for loose/dirty connections.

Sounds like the power transistor or the cam position sensor is goin out in my opinion. Coils very rarely go bad, but that doesnt mean the wiring for the coils arent in need of attention. Doublecheck the coil wiring and grounds.

Yeah I already swpped the power transistor (igniter). The cars outside and I work till dark so I will try your suggestions this weekend. Thanks for the tips!
