are fwd dsm axles interchangable with awd

I was trying to find the answer but some say you can use the long fwd shaft as the half shaft for the awd and some say the CV joints wont clear.

But you can use the FWD passenger side axle as the AWD passenger side axle right?

Are AWD axles that hard to find?

I don't think FWD axles work on AWD front ends... the passenger side front axle might fit, though...

God no, i have a 1g fwd and my gvr4 and i have a set of axles for the fwd and an extra fwd passenger axle..

was wondering if its worth saving the long axle for my self in case i snap my half shaft and need to get home...

You can use the pass side axle. They are the same. You cannot use the fwd axle on a awd car as the axle will physically hit the transfer case when the car bounces (suspension travel).
