4 bolt problem

Are 4 bolt axles supposed to be an easy install? Mine appear to be 10mm longer (from flange to oil seal) than the corresponding 3 bolt axles and don't want to fit nicely.

So when they are on the car they seem to get caught up on the lip on the bottom of the axle face. Do I just need to force it or something else?

As I recall, mine required a bit of force. If I honestly remember, it seemed like there was something on the axle itself with sort of hit the cup. Once I compressed it a bit and got the bolt holes lined up it was fine however.

I don't recall if there were any length differences in mine.Have you made sure that the inner axle has 'clicked' into the diff housing completely?
