This thread is for listing clutch combinations which are known from experience to either fit together or not. That is, the below listed are pairings between clutch pressure plates and friction disks which were not originally designed to be paired together either because they were manufactured by different companies or because they come from different generations within a specific company or because they come from different performance levels (i.e. stage 1 disk w/ stage 3 pp). This is not intended to be a performance evaluation but rather a simple compilation of what fits and what doesn't. I'll start.
1) Revised ACT pressure plate w/ Old ACT sprung hub disks (6 springs) - WORKS
2) Old ACT pressure plate w/ Revised ACT sprung hub disks (4 springs) - DOES NOT WORK (hub is too thick and interferes w/ diaphragm)
3) Any ACT pressure plate w/ Any ACT un-sprung hub disk - WORKS (w/o springs there is no interference w/ diaphragm)
4) Centerforce DFX plate w/ Revised ACT sprung hub disks - WORKS (attested by iLLeffeKt vr-4)
