#519...Reborn..almost...soon.

After finally dealing with the low compression (90 across) I figured it was time to get it together.
WARNING: shitty iPhone pics follow

I know this isn't a big deal to most of you guys, but this was the first time that I had no help and just did it.
pretty much how the whole build is going to be.

Motor is at the machine shop, I'll go over there today to drop my rod bolts off.

I'll keep this updated until the thing can leave the carport on its own power.

Oh I've been part of the chi-DSM community a long time, I could have people help me. But being as I am moving to Texas shortly, I need to be able to do this myself. Though, I'll have a friend help bleed the slave when the time comes. These are so much easier to wrench on then a DSM.

but if I feel as if I have bit off more then I can chew you bet I'll be looking for a few hands.

Well, its almost back together. Everything went pretty smoothly, with some help from you guys on here and a few local friends. I am pretty confidant that once the few little small things are out of the way, he'll start right up.

I still need to:
fill the trans (mt90)
bolt valve cover down
attach UICP (waiting for coupler)
bolt downpipe to o2
charge battery
fill with oil and coolant
bleed clutch
and then I should be ready.

oh and WASH THE CAR.

"BOLTS ->"

EDIT: the reason for the low compression in the first place, is whoever put this motor together previously used standard pistons in the .20 block. This is why I was getting horrendous gas millage and absurd amounts of knock.

Its running, started it, its runs great, just need to get all those grounds connected and put the New ground cable in from the battery. Its just about done...Very very soon. Been helping Ryan Finish up the little odds and ends.

hows the progress coming? Can't wait to see it crusing in San Antonio!

I'm in San Antonio right now! I go back next week to make the trip with the car.
It runs but I need to hook up a ground cable from the trunk to the bay, and switch out the carrier bearing bolts before she moves.
I am pretty excited, just hope it gets here in one piece.

Then I have to save money to bring my 3000GT VR4 down here.
