Surface Shipment (ie, by boat/ship) of Parts from Japan

I'd appreciate any assistance from a member with extensive experience and contacts to help find a shipping company in japan with reasonable rates to ship via economy surface service. Approximate weight is 20 lbs and dimensions are 24" x 16" x 16".

this may be something you already know, but, shipping over SEA is often dangerous, parts have been known to disappear, but the majority make it. Just a thought to consider in pricing it out. Good Luck

i am willing to take that risk. ideally a carrier that provides this service also offers insurance. going priority is WAY TOO cost prohibitive. thanks.

There is a Subaru vendor in SoCal that ships containers about once a month from Japan called ironically JapanParts. Link here click
The LGT site link indicating a near shipment is here click altho you may need to register to view.
Outside of that it can be hit or miss. Best bet is to make a friend in Japan and have them ship from within.

Also try calling panda garage in el cojon near San diego. They ship containers all the time.
