arp main stud torque value??

Ask the machine shop that did the line hone what torque they used. If you don't have the mains resized for the arp's you can't use them.

. . . the person i bought i from had all the work done before me. i can't get ahold of him. and the mains were line honed for the arps. that is the one BIG question i asked before i bought it.

What? Your thinking of the rod bolts aren't you? The mains are easy to install. Should be 60 ft lbs for mains and 40 ft lbs for the rod caps.

Use arp moly lube and nothing else. It's the safest. Also make sure you tighten and loosen three times to insure there is enough stud stretch.
 

^ You're missing the point. When you install ARP main studs it pulls the main line out of round thus it needs to be honed. When you do this the main studs are torqued down and engine builders torque to different values depending on how the motor will be used. After honing, you must torque to the same value the machinist had them torqued to when he line honed it. So, you either need to find out what value they used (and none of us can tell you that) or you just need to take it to a machine shop and have it checked (ie. torque them to 60 or 80 and then have the main line checked).

I thought he meant sizing the holes on stock rod caps.
