I have been working on this car on and off for about a year and a half. It is going to be a dedicated car for auto-x and track days. I didn't get to take any before shots but the car was in horrible condition. It sat in a guys backyard under a tree for about 6 years with a blown engine. It had mice living in it and the cure for cancer growing all over the place. I started out by running an ozone generator inside for about a week to kill all of the mold, mildew and any other living thing that may have still been inside. The hardest part of this job was getting rid of the smell. My friends detail shop had the car for 2 months and it still smelled when I got it back. We gutted the interior and scrubbed the inside with a gallon of odo-ban and still nothing. I found a company called odor x-it and I called and talked with a specialist and got some stuff that finally worked. Built a new motor and trans, completely rebuilt the suspension and robbed my other Galant of all it's go fast parts to get this car going. I built the intercooler and piping from scratch. The car is about done for the second time. First motor was a flop. My fault for rushing. JE sent the wrong size rinds and the budget machine shop that I used didn't flush out the oiling passages in the block. Everything was double checked this time I just need to finish the cooling system and the exhaust. Her are some pix of the progress so far.

The beginning

New engine.

Installed

New Evo 3 radiator vs stock

Temp Switch added to Evo 3 radiator

Oil and PS coolers

My current set up includes
JE 8:5 pistons .020 over ceramic coated tops and moly coated skirts, Ferrea Valves, crower spring and retainers, HKS 264 cams, extrude honed intake and exhaust manifolds, Turbonetics ball bearing 50trim W/BEP turbine housing, PTE1200 injectors, DSMlink, EVO 3 aluminum radiator, Earl's oil cooler, PS cooler, custom intercooler and piping w/gm Mas and translator, Koni/ground control setup with 2g rear shocks, whiteline 26mm rear bar and 22mm front bar, custom active toe eliminator kit, every poly bushing you could buy and I'm sure I missed somethings but I will eventually to a post in the members showcase when I am completely done. Opinions appreciated as I have alot of time and money invested in this car. It still has to go back to the detail shop so there is a lot of dust and what not everywhere and there are still a few small things that need to be bead blasted and painted.

Just wondering, why did you have to offset the radiator? I see that you have spots marked to move the radiator brackets.

I did the short route piping for the intercooler and 2.5" piping would not fit. So I made it fit by moving the radiator.

Finally got around to getting some more work done on the car and thought I would share. I got the exhaust done for the most part, and got one of my seats installed, and a new battery mounted. I was able to attend the first Auto-x here with a temperature of about 42 deg and raining half of the day. I was able to win my class and also manage fastest time of day for the rainy part of the day.
Downpipe

Going from 2.5" to 3"

Middle hanger

Dump and muffler

New toy to finish the exhaust

New battery mounted

Part of seat mount

I will get more pix of the seat bracket when I take it out to paint it. I also have to pull the exhaust off and paint it.

Here is a crappy video of my worst run. Quality isn't that great but a guy that was there posted it up. This was on 15 psi and crappy street tires. Never mind the miata in the beginning,
