So after being a Galant owner for 3 or maybe 4 years now i finally get to drive one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif Anyway, I am the proud new owner of the 90 GGSX that ricersux had for sale. I'll get some before and after pics up soon. And while I was in Indy picking it up I also snatched up a 93 with a busted tranny, so keep an eye out in the for sale section for the partout. But I do have a question for everybody, what kinda rpm's do you guys run at 70 mph's? I thought the GGSX's were geared different for better mpg's but it was running like 3600 rpm's? I had a 90 awd talon a while back and don't remember it revin so high at that speed.

Welcome to the GGSX club. I remember the for-sale ad for yours.

There was a thread a while back about RPM's at highway speed.

Here it is: What yo' RPMS be?

I do know that the final drive is higher in the GGSX. As a fellow GGSX owner, I would tell you the RPMs myself, but currently mine is keyword 'jackstands' and the fastest I've seen it go lately is coasting down my driveway to where I'm working on it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Nice buy!!
As for the r's, they do seem rediculous but, I got 33 mpg with mine running around 75 on the e-way. I use to beable to get 33-35 with my N/A FWD Talon (w/turbo trans) running close to 80 average on the e-way. I hit 35 when I was going across texas on the way to Arizoina. The power band for the gearing is just high. I have had others that had less miles and couldn't even break 25 mpg tho.
Just my $.02
