What all does it take to do a 5 lug conversion? With my tires shot, its time to invest in tires and maybe wheels for the hell of it.

5 lug hubs from a DSM.
5 lug brake rotors from a DSM.

durrr...

Would you like that served with or without abs?????
Has been beaten and beaten and beaten...... like most VR-4's for that matter!!!!!!
Search "5 lug" and read away my friend. By tonight, you'll be ready for battle /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

(Per HERTZ in "5 lug conversion" in how-to.)NOTE: Functional ABS requires more work. New HOW-TO on page one detailing this. Also in NEWBIE section for 8/14th.
You will need the following parts:
ABS front hubs from a 92-94 TEL

ABS rear spindles from a 92-94 TEL AWD

92-94 ABS AWD "big brake" TEL brakes rotors (or the equivilent)

4 extra lugnuts
4 new wheels

Fronts:

Remove lugnuts, remove wheel, Remove axle, remove ball joint, remove tie rod, disconnect caliper from bracket (no need to remove), remove pads, remove caliper bracket, remove ABS Sensor off of spindle (no need to remove completely), remove spindle,

Install equivalent tel stuff. Put everything back together.

Rears:

Remove lugnuts, remove wheel, remove ebrake cable from caliper, disconnect caliper from rear assy, remove pads, remove rotor, remove rear axle, remove rear axle cup, remove rear spindle.

Install equivalent TEL stuff. Put everything back together. Adjust ABS sensors according to spec.

It's simple, but typically not easy due to rust and stuck parts. You may need a puller and a ball joint remover

2wd will work. If you use the complete front knuckles the geometry is slightly different, but not a show stopper.

do yourself a favor, don't worry about the abs, in fact, tear that crap out while you're in there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

+1 on scrapping the ABS. It barely works anyway. Removal of the ABS pump saves a surprising amount of weight as the thing is HEAVY.
