Ok, It has been many years since I've seen one of these galants. I don't know what model it was. It's not a GSX or VR4. I am look for the 90 to 93 galant that had the adjustable suspension, and steering. The cars had a little heads up display in the center of the dash. They had push buttons in the center console to stiffen the suspension, and adjust the steering. I've only seen two in all my years, so what model and years was it available. Does anyone know where one is for sale?

Thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

In the states it was the GS and the GSR from 1989 to 1992-ish. The pod on the dash was the control the suspension (was electronically controlled air suspension with a pump, tank, solenoids and struts with bags under the springs). The switch by the gear lever was to control the sensitivity of the steering. In Japan the ECS was on the MX and VX-S from 1987 through 1992. Also available in Europe, New Zealand and Australia on various models usually badged GTi or GTi-16V.

Good luck finding one with the system fully functioning though! The air bags always pop usually under 10 years of age and are costly to replace. I had an '88 VX-S with the air bag struts replaced with standard shocks but the power steering control still worked - it basically went from really over-boosted to still a bit over-boosted. But that's typical Mitsubishi power steering for you.

Highly doubt you will find a GSR with the stock air struts still in it, let alone functioning - and then there's the likelihood of finding one for sale as they weren't a top seller in their time.

Your literally 2 years late. lol. I had an 89 gs gold with only 70k miles. no dents, no scratches. Sat 15yrs in a field. Could have been saved, but I had to move and scrap it.

Factory airbags were still on it with all parts, makes me sad now.
