20 days bitches. From the first wrench turned to the last wrench turned. Now I just have to wait for my laptop to charge so I can go top the tank off and tune it for him. Purrs like a kitten again.

I have to build a new oil line and it seemed funny the clutch was so soft from the get go. After I tuned it on the first launch the clutch let go and started slipping in all gears. I have to call the clutch guys tomorrow and see if they can send a new pressure plate out. It just flat o u t doesn't hold. It runs like a raped ape. It is up to 26psi so far. It makes full boost around 3300-3500rpm and peak torque before 4000. It is kind of a hand full in first gear. The back end really tries to slide out. It should be an animal. I have to run it really fat take a lot of timing out of it but, the motor does not seem to mind and screams very well. If this car ever had a real fuel it would be the cats ass.

But, the track ms are. Then he has to race and come home. Even with having to detune it for pump gas, it runs as hard as any e85 16g car I have tubed. Once I get the new clutch in and finish the tune I will post a video. I tried to simulate an autocross and could not get the intake temps above 140*. From a first through third gear roll depending on how hot the temps were to start it would do 150-170* at the top of third gear. Once I get the clutch fixed I will try some fourth gear runs to see how it acts. Very surprising to say the least. Even though I was upset about the clutch, every time I laid into it I could not help but smile.

Yeah maybe i'm crazy but they look just right on a 91 rally homologation car. Not too flashy or big, right time period, good quality and motorsport heritage.

Almost ready to go to California. I did not realize until it was too late that Jake had installed a Hyundai valve cover. I put a dsm basket on it and it is too small and is leaking. That seems to be where my fluid on the ground is coming. So I will go and get the correct one. Also has a tiny coolant leak. After work tonight I will pressure test it and hopefully can find it. Almost ready to go to California though. Drove the car around this morning and it sure is fun to drive.

He just bought that car a few months ago. 2014. He washes it all the time. It is nothing special. Basic hemi with just a set of wheels. No SRT package.

Stop by sometime. I am usually home evenings unless I am out on a run. I live a half a block north of 60th and Ivy. I see you driving all the time while I am running. There is a Mitsubishi car lot at my house right now. Soon to be 12 second 14b talon, 1000+hp soon to be 8 second 2g, 91 galant, 864hp Mirage and soon to be retired 4g63 rat rod. Going diesel there.

$35/hr and I can make miracles happen for you too. Jake got the gay boyfriend free discount on this one. We had a plan and this was the most efficient way to see it through.

Getting bored waiting for this new clutch. Basically finished the tune. Jake and I decided he is going to try his hand at E85 and see how feasible and economical it is for race days. So I will be doing a dual map setup for him and sending the car to California on E85 in hopes he chooses that fuel full time with how fun the car will be. I rewired the power feed for the fan today to my liking. I also rerouted the wiring for tue wideband under the seat and through the floorboard rather than along the bottom of the firewall, across the strut, under the hood, through the door jam to its home. It had constant friction and movement every time the passenger door was opened. And hiding under the driver seat is much cleaner.

I also pulled the exhaust off and removed the Cat and muffler from the car. So yea, it is loud now. With no back seat making it worse but, it does sound better.

I'm glad you talked him into going with E85. You'll get much better results out of the hotpipe on E85, no doubt. Pump gas is probably one of the most inefficient fluids you could use to cool the intake charge with. If E85 is available in his area, that's definitely the way to go.

The car has come a long way in a very short amount of time, that's for sure. Good work.
