I'm tring to re-attach the metal trim piece on my windshield here but it doesn't want to stay on. The original piece flew off on the freeway, so the one I'm trying to use now is from the junkyard.

Am I missing some clips here? It goes on nicely, but its not snug and I know it will come off again at freeway speeds.

Check the condition of the white clips. They love to break and not do their job. To replace them you need to pull the windshield too.

All of those white clips are cracked. If the windshield has to be pulled to replace them, should I just use some adhesive and glue to trim piece to the window?

You should not have to pull the windshield, but you may have to cut the butyl away to get the old clips off the t-posts they attach to. I have done this a few times to replace them.

Original side pieces were still available OEM from Mitsubishi a few years back when I bought each side.
