Is there a +5v supply somewhere in the cabin?
I know the ECU has a +5v output for the sensors in the engine bay, but I'd like to leave that alone.

Best thing to do is get a USB 12volt cigarette adapter and remove the circuit board and hard wire it into the wiring and then just either use the USB port or wire directly to the 5volt output.

Yeah, either that or fit a 12-5v voltage regulator but that's a lot of work (heat) to drop the voltage. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Technically, the 5v from the ECU is in the cabin. It is actually a poorly crafted jumble of wires running in dozens of directions leading to all the +5v sensors in the engine bay. If you are interested, it is Pin 23 on the DSM/vr4 ECU.

^ green w/ red on your MAF connector, pin 4. Agree w/ Terry though the USB conversion board is a clever solution.

Going the hard wired route - Can't argue with $0.95USD shipped worldwide /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worthy.gif
