Well I thought I had it all figured out when I wired my external kill switch and fuel pump power wire. Then I go to shut if off and make sure it shuts down and it didn't. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

How do I wire up the fuel pump to shut off when I push the kill switch in?

Do you have the pump rewired? Just use a toggle switch in-line on the power line and it should work. I got a illuminated toggle switch for mine for whenever I get around to doing it...

Or if your pump is rewired and you have your battery in the trunk, best to just run the ground trigger of the relay up to a switch in the cabin, and put the other lead to ground.

Run the positive source wire on your relay to the drain side of your cut off, not the supplie side with the battery cable. This way when you switch is turned off you also cut the supplie to the pump. Just be sure to put a fuse in there.

Edit: im an idiot. The alternator will still continue to energize the relay if the motor is running.

Just do this. Cut the relay power and the pump won't turn on. I wouldn't recommend putting a switch on the actual power of the pump. That is a hot/direct line drawing so not any switch will cut it.
