91 gvr high idle any suggestions???

Just did the timing belt, water pump and seals, fixed an exhaust leak, now my problem is a high idle how do I fix this problem

You need to do a search, or just go back a page and you'll find it. It has been answered so many times on this board. It will probably end up being your idle speed control. Check to make sure your throttle cable isn't too tight.

EDIT: Visit vfaq.com look for idle problems. Anything that we will say will be straight from there.

He won't be in boost at idle. May be a vacuum leak, which is what I'm sure you meant to say, but he mentioned nothing about a rough idle. Vacuum leaks can cause high idle, but you more than likely to notice the rough idle it causes before you the notice the high idle.

Getting the sparkplugs replaced and the throttlebody cleaned out, c if that fixes it

Boost leaks, vacuum leaks, whatever. I've had them cause high idle without roughness more than once. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Is the high idle a sudden problem or did it start after your repairs? I would suggest what red bird said a consult with vfaq. Check to see if the biss screw is still in the throttle body, I've seen them blow out. My money is on that or a major VACUUM leak.
