I'm running one now with my smim. Hard to tell if it helped at all but don't ever have to worry about a bad gasket

I've got one on the way. Hmmmm, I guess I could put the IR camera we have at work to good use and do a before and after. That would be interesting.

I've got one and I didn't have the old gasket to compare it too with a logger. It seals. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If its the white ones I've actually seen them melt and sag and block the ports which cause them to leak. If you can find a phenolic resin one those are way better for thermal characteristics as well as sealing properties.

which brand did you see sag and melt?

i've heard of that happening a long time ago but nothing recent.

I'd like to know too. I have a white one I'm waiting to put on and I would like to know if it is going to cause any problems.

im curious of this too. i have two - one in my DD engine, and one on my 2.3 setup. 2.3 hasnt even fired yet - but the DD has seen some abuse, and some pretty hot temperatures. both of which were advertised as the phenolic intake gasket - i believe one was the slowboy one, the other was the extremepsi one. they are both that white/clear color too.
