Fan too thick... options?

Hi Guys

I was looking to fit a dejon setup with a 2g maf, but it appears that the stock radiator fan is too thick...

Anyone found a way of making it work with the stock fan? Something on the very front of the fan (steel, maybe 80mm long rectangle) is in the way and if I could do something with that, it may fit..

Im sure some of you have been here already, advice appreciated guys..

That the resistor for low speed fan operation. Just unbolt it and move it some where else.

I have run as large as a 3" Dejon intake with the stock fan. If you can, stay with the stock one as it moves way more air than any slimfan could.
