Sold a friend a good s16g for his turbo f22, ran it on my galant until i blew a piston ring landing. The galant never smoked at all planned on rerunnning the turbo when I put the car back together but went another route. So he put the turbo on his honda, ran a -4an line from the oil pressure sensor and primed the line, But right after he started it the turbo blew oil out of the exhaust. what do you think this could be? we know the turbo is now blown, but we do not want to throw another turbo on until we fix the problem. no restrictor in the oil line do you think that could be the problem +80 oil psi at start up.

yea way to much pressure. try again in the 10 to 15psi range.

never had 80 psi on any of my honda engines unless i was up in the rpms. i rebuilt three or seven mitsu turbos. the most recent was the 13g on my volvo. its terribly easy and they work fine so far. just scribe a line on the shaft and compressor wheel so it goes back in its place for balancing purposes.
